1. Outline of Competition
1.1 Designation: 2023th Architectural Institute of Korea Digital Architecture Competition in 19 (Digital Architecture 2023/DA2023)

2. Contest outline
2.1 Digital Design & Fabrication Division
- Architectural, interior, and urban design works that utilize various digital technologies and techniques to show new spatial, morphological, structural, and environmental possibilities or that enhance the workability in creating architectural design concepts, spatial composition, and shape creation.
- No restrictions on detailed topics
2.2 Digital Application Technology sector
- Digital Twin (application of the architectural digital twin concept, proposals and application cases that increase productivity and management efficiency by applying digital twin, which is widely applied in the industry, to the architectural field)
- AI Design (includes design support tools in various fields, including artificial intelligence application design technology applied to the architectural design field and design automation)
- Technology application in the design/construction/operation fields of scenario/application technology, 3D stereoscopic technology, and 3D–CAD/BIM to improve quality of life, green growth, and energy savings through informatization and knowledge industrialization of the construction industry
- Convergence of architecture and IT industry (convergence of 4th Industrial Revolution technologies such as IoT, wearable space, digital fabrication, etc. with architecture and urban space)
- Application software development and content products or prototypes that apply various IT technologies for use in the architectural field
- No restrictions on detailed topics (including products related to all fields such as design, construction, engineering, research, education, etc.)
* Each team can only enter one category (team members cannot overlap)
* Works with the same theme can only be submitted to one category.
2.3 Contest theme: “The future of architecture drawn by digital” - Refer to contest guidelines
3. Participation guidelines
3.1 Participation qualifications: Anyone interested in utilizing digital architecture and building information technology
- No distinction between organizations (companies) and student records (current students and students on leave)
- Foreigners and students attending foreign schools are granted the same qualifications as domestic participants.
3.2 Participation application and schedule
(1) Application for participation: Complete the attached participation application form and submit it by email (da@aik.or.kr)
(2) Application schedule: July 2023, 7 ~ September 9, 18:17 (Please apply for participation as far in advance as possible.)
3.3 Submission Instructions
- Submission deadline: 2023:9 on September 18, 17 (based on sending time)
- Submission method: Submit by email (da@aik.or.kr) (work description, work file, etc. - refer to contest guidelines)
(1) Digital Design & Fabrication sector
• Art production tips
- Video production of design results, design concepts, and processes using digital design technologies and techniques (within 5 minutes (within 500MB), HD (1280x720) or higher, MP4 format)
- Use screen recording when using VR/AR or interactive techniques
- There are no restrictions on the software used (listed in the work description)
• Submissions
- Work description in prescribed format (PDF)

(2) Digital Application Technology sector
• Art production tips
- Produce a video of the process and results of software production and implementation (within 5 minutes (within 500 MB), HD (1280x720) or higher, MP4 format)
- Software demonstration during judging and selection of winners
• Submissions

- Process video
(3) Common matters
• Must be a creative or newly developed product of the participant or the participating team.
• Participating team composition is no more than 5 people per work.
• Language can be selected/combined among Korean, Chinese, and English.
• In the case of student work, the advisor is indicated separately.
• Those subject to final screening may be requested for the original production file.
• Permission must be given to the organizer to publish, edit and display the submission;
• All winning works must produce and submit a panel or modified video at the request of the organizer when holding a future exhibition (if not submitted, it may be excluded from the award list)

4. Awards details
(1) Grand Prize: 1 work from all categories - Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award, prize money of 100 million won
(2) Grand Prize: 1 work per category - Architectural Institute of Korea President's Award, prize money of 100 million won
(3) Excellence Award: 2 works per category - Chairman's Award, Certificate of Merit
(4) Special selection and selection: multiple - award certificate

(3) Screening procedure
• The review is conducted as the 1st preliminary review, the 2nd main review (open PT review), and the 3rd integrated review (target selection).
• The first preliminary screening determines the applicant's qualifications and the requirements for the submitted work.
• The second round of screening will be conducted through open PT at the Architectural Institute of Korea's Architectural Institute, and the recipients and PT methods will be announced in advance.
• If it is determined that there is no suitable work as an award winner, the winner may not be decided.

6. Exhibition and awards
(1) Exhibition: October 2023-10, 26, Fall Academic Conference Hall (Location: Jeongseon High27 Grand Hotel), website
(2) Awards: October 2023, 10, 26:18, Fall Academic Presentation Hall (Location: Jeongseon High00 Grand Hotel Convention Hall). The award ceremony will be held for only one team as a representative award.
