The National Election Commission plans to hold the '42st President and Vice President Election of the Architectural Institute of Korea' on Wednesday, February 25th and Thursday, February 26th.
In this regard, we hereby inform you of the collection, use, and provision of voters' personal information as follows: If you do not wish to provide, please check the refusal to consent by January 22nd.Please.
1. Purpose of personal information processing
The National Election Commission retains and uses voters' personal information for the period listed below to process election-related tasks, such as online voter registers and online voting system services.
2. Processing and retention period of personal information
Personal information required for elections, such as membership number, name, date of birth, mobile phone number, email address, and membership fee payment status: 30 days after the end of the election
3. Provision of personal information to third parties
The Election Management Committee of the Architectural Institute of Korea collects and processes voters' personal information within the scope specified for the purpose of use, and does not provide such information to third parties without the prior consent of the information subject, except in the following cases.
- - When a candidate registered as a candidate for president or vice president requests information for election campaign purposes.
- - A consignment company for providing online voter registration and online voting system services.
4. Entrustment of personal information processing
The Election Commission of the Architectural Institute of Korea outsources personal information processing as follows. When concluding an outsourcing contract, the Election Commission specifies in the contract or other document matters regarding the prohibition of processing personal information for purposes other than those entrusted, technical and administrative safeguards, restrictions on re-entrustment, management and supervision of the trustee, and liability for damages. The Election Commission also supervises the trustee to ensure the safe management of personal information. Any changes to the details of the outsourced work or the trustee will be disclosed without delay.

- - Details of entrusted work and entrusted personal information: Name, affiliation, year of birth, email, alma mater, membership fee payment status for candidate promotion and election participation encouragement
- - Personal information retention period and consignment period: January 1, 2026 - until the end of the 42nd President and Vice President elections.
- - Trustee: Wooil Soft Co., Ltd.
- - Details of entrusted work and entrusted personal information: Membership number, name, date of birth, and mobile phone number for online voting
- - Personal information retention period and consignment period: Up to 30 days after the end of the election
5. Refusal of consent and disadvantages of refusal
Voters may refuse the collection and use of their personal information. However, if they do not consent to the collection, use, and provision of personal information, they may be disadvantaged in receiving various election-related information, voting participation, and other services.
