The 2026 New Year's Party of the Architectural Institute of Korea was held on Tuesday, January 6th, in the auditorium (basement level 1) of the Architectural Institute of Korea. Approximately 100 members attended, including the society's executive board, honorary presidents, and past presidents, as well as representatives of related organizations that work with the society to advance architecture, including Senior Vice President Park Sang-jin of the Korean Institute of Architects, President Jang Deok-bae of the Korean Society of Professional Engineers, President Shin Dong-woo of the Korean Society of Remodeling and Convergence Engineers, President Seong Gi-yong of the Korean Society of CPTED Engineers, and President Hong Geon-ho of the Korean Concrete Institute (in alphabetical order), as well as executives of annual sponsors.
This year's New Year's party began with a New Year's address by Park Jin-cheol, the President of the Architectural Institute of Korea, followed by a congratulatory address and New Year's greetings from Honorary President Lee Myeong-ho, followed by lunch. Afterwards, a Yutnori game, Baduk, and billiards competition were held in the courtyard, ending the event as a meaningful and enjoyable time for all attendees.
We would like to express our gratitude to all our members who participated despite the cold weather. We hope that this new year, as vibrant as the Red Horse, will be a year of peace and prosperity for all members, as they demonstrate their wisdom and resourcefulness to revitalize the struggling construction economy and work together to advance the Society.
