👉 Architecture has the characteristic of exerting a long-term influence on the public within the urban environment. Therefore, the approach to architecture must be serious, and its value must positively impact users and the surrounding environment over time.
👉We have been consistently working on projects based on time and place, exploring the fundamental values of architecture and space.
👣 What are the strengths of 'Space Yeon Architects & Engineers'?
👉 I think the strength is in trying to design good buildings based on the question, 'How will this building coexist with its surroundings within the urban structure?' and producing results that are appropriate for that.
👉In addition, we have streamlined the communication process with employees, and employees are continuously involved in the entire project from planning to completion, enabling them to quickly understand the architectural design process.
👣What does the ‘good architecture’ you mentioned earlier mean?
👉 It can be seen as something that should serve as a foundation for having a positive influence on the people around you.
👉Fundamentally, the internal program and external form must be in harmony. Since the internal program and spatial order are reflected in the external form, I believe it's best to remain faithful to that relationship.
👉'How can we experience light as a natural element internally?' is something I have been consistently working on in my work.
👣You also teach students. What kind of experiences or thoughts do you think students should have when they go to see buildings?
👉The key is to consider how key spaces exist and how they connect with the city. At a fundamental level, "What positive impact does this building have on its surroundings?" is a crucial consideration when experiencing a building.
👉Since architecture is a classic from the largest city to the last detail, it would be nice to be able to see the types of materials and how the details were resolved.
👣What should I prepare to help me prepare for job hunting?
👉 In architecture, superficial image consumption is not important. If architecture is understood as a one-time, addictive consumption of images, it will ultimately have a negative impact on the city. We must recognize that architecture should not be built solely on visual imagery.
👉Knowing this, I hope you will seek out many good buildings and experience them with your whole body to feel the architecture firsthand, and I hope you will develop good thoughts about cities and architecture.
👣What is the most important factor you consider when hiring new employees?
💡 ';Passion for Architecture';
👉 We value a person's passion for architecture. I believe that demonstrating that passion is evident in their willingness to invest energy beyond their regular classes, such as participating in competitions and extracurricular activities. Furthermore, we consider whether they are capable of handling a variety of programs.
