👉I think the biggest advantage is that we are working on a wide spectrum of projects, including traditional Korean architecture, Hanok, and public housing.
👉We especially prioritize the implementation of "publicness" and "usability." We prioritize the practical aspects of the client's needs. We build homes that are watertight, well-drained, and have outlets where needed. Oub's architecture begins with ensuring the fundamentals are perfectly met.
👣What are the key criteria for maintaining 'Obdaum'?
👉While our programs vary, the most important thing is to create architecture that positively impacts the area in which it resides. Rather than focusing on "invisible conceptual rhetoric," we focus on creating intuitive, well-used spaces. We believe that architecture that is actually used healthily by people, rather than just through form or words, represents true "Orbness."
👣What should I prepare to help me prepare for job hunting?
👉I think you already know what's important. As an architecture major preparing for a job, you should think about what truly showcases your strengths and appeal, not just your portfolio. And I strongly recommend that you also go through the process of verifying whether the results of your reflections are persuasive to others.
👣What is the most important mindset for young architects to have for a long and meaningful career?
👉Rather than having grand goals or fantasies, it's important to embrace architecture as a profession and diligently pursue the tasks at hand. There's no paradise in escape, and any profession is challenging. "Constantly doing what you need to do now" is what I did, and I believe that's the most realistic path to a sustainable career.
