📌Sihojae & Sicha📌
';Sihojae & Sicha' is a space and cafe where you can find leisure in the fast-flowing time like an arrow leaving a protest.
* Location: 11-21 Mangjeong 1-gil, Seokjeok-eup, Chilgok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do
[Curved building, Sihojae]
💡Sihojae, which means 'an arrow shooting towards time', has three buildings with gentle curves like the string of an arrow, each forming a single flow.
💡These curved shapes show the architect's intention to harmonize with nature without going against the flow of the ridge leading to the surrounding Palgongsan Mountain.
💡It contains the meaning that I want to take my time while I find my direction and aim again, as I have been flying on the journey of life without rest like an arrow that has left the protest.
[ A wall that presents a landscape of reversal ]
💡As you enter, you will encounter a scene where the wall visible from the outside transforms into part of the building.
💡The wall, which shows a reversal, is an architectural device that seeks to isolate oneself from the outside world and allow one to immerse oneself in rest within 'Sihojae'.
💡It allows you to enjoy the beautiful distant view of Palgongsan Mountain while appropriately blocking the view of the nearby scenery.
The Philosopher's Garden
💡The garden at Sihojae is lush and natural, as if it has existed for ages. Trees and grasses were planted in keeping with the local flora, and small water features created a garden of space that resonates with the surrounding nature. The harmonious integration of architecture and landscaping creates a "spatial experience" where time and nature merge.
[Color and Materials]
💡The black exterior contrasts sharply with the surrounding green mountains, the greenery of the garden, and the white clouds in the sky, while calmly embracing nature as a backdrop. This harmony further accentuates the building's presence. The materials used were carefully selected, resulting in a design that is refined down to the finest details, both internally and externally.
