Information on various awards from the Architectural Institute of Korea

Architectural Institute of Korea Award

Members (or groups) who have made outstanding contributions to the development of architectural culture are discovered and awarded with the Architectural Institute of Korea Award. The Architectural Institute of Korea Award is the highest award in the field of architecture established in 1967 to praise the contributions of members (or groups) who have made efforts to develop architectural culture and to encourage serious research, creation, and practice.

Eligibility	A member (or organization) who joined before the announcement of recommendation for the Architectural Institute of Korea Award, and a person who meets the qualifications for each award
When to hold	Applications are accepted on the first Thursday of March every year, and awards are given in April
Awards details	Grand Prize, Achievement Award, Achievement Award (Academic Award/Technology Award/Work Award/Education Award), Thesis Award, Special Prize (Nampa Park Hakjae Award, Wooshin Mooseong Award, Sowoon Jangseop Award, Northam Kim Hyeong-geol Award, Muaei Gwangno Architecture Award, Gwacheon Kim Jin-il Award, Hongjeon Shinhyeon-sik Award, Fund Sang (Lee Won-sang)

Since 1997, graduation works of prospective undergraduate graduates of architecture-related departments and design works of graduate students from each university have been recommended by each school, and awards are given to excellent works after a predetermined examination.

Qualifications to participate	A prospective undergraduate graduate or graduate student at an architecture-related university nationwide and who has been selected as an excellent work and recommended by the school
When to hold	Applications are accepted from the end of August to the beginning of September each year, and awards are given in October.

Digital Architecture Competition

Since 2000, we have been holding the Digital Architecture Competition every year to pioneer a new field of building informatization, promote building information infrastructure, and spread the mindset of building informatization.

Qualifications to participate	Anyone interested in utilizing digital architecture and building informatization technology
When to hold	In odd-numbered years, applications are accepted from July to September, awards are given in October
Awards details	Grand Prize (Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award) Grand Prize (Academy President Award), Excellence Award, Special Selection, Honorable Mention, etc.

Excellent Graduation Thesis Exhibition

The Excellent Graduation Thesis Exhibition, which started in 2005, provides an opportunity to publicize and share innovative and progressive research achievements of undergraduate and master's students in architecture-related departments.

Qualifications to participate	Among those who graduated from college in August of the previous year or expected to graduate in February of the current year (degree conferment), those who have been recommended by their advisor, but master's course students are limited to members of the society.
When to hold	Applications are accepted from the end of February to the beginning of March each year, and awards are given in April

Academic Presentation Contest Excellent Paper Award

Since 2008, among the papers presented at the spring and autumn academic conferences, we have selected excellent papers for each presentation hall after screening and awarding the Excellent Paper Award.

Qualifications to participate	A person who participated in the Spring and Autumn Conference and presented a thesis
When to hold	April, October every year
